WebSIGMAA refers to the Special Interest Group for Mathematics Instruction on the Web, part of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). We spent 2008 trying to figure out what we were doing. Now that we have our charter straight and some precedence for timing of activities, things are looking much better.
Recently, members have been talking about hosting short webinars on “getting started” with various types of technology. From there, we might find there are sub-interest groups who would like to continue with regular meetings on particular topics.
The WebSIGMAA wiki is a good place to check on events at upcoming meetings and to see what the SIGMAA members are involved in.
